Not a beanie in the usual sense. The crown is cut square so it stands up in two soft peaks instead of slouching, and the back is gathered on elastic to hold it in place. It sits like a bonnet, close to the head and down over the ears.
Waffle-knit cotton in a ditsy floral, printed so the flowers sink into the texture rather than sitting on top of it. Soft and unlined, with enough stretch to pull on without wrecking your hair.
Charcoal with pale grey flowers, or cream with brown ones.
